Pakistan has voiced serious concerns over the support being provided to terrorist groups in Afghanistan. During a weekly press briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that Pakistan is deeply worried about the activities of terrorist organizations operating from Afghan soil. She emphasized that concrete evidence regarding these groups has already been shared with Afghan authorities.
“Terrorism poses a significant threat not only to Afghanistan but also to Pakistan and the entire region,” she noted, urging Afghanistan to take decisive action against these elements. She also expressed hope that Afghanistan would fulfill its international commitments to ensure peace and stability.
The spokesperson clarified that there is currently no proposal under consideration for appointing a special envoy on Afghanistan.
In addition, Baloch announced that the President of Belarus will visit Pakistan from November 25 to 27, during which he will meet Pakistani leadership. The visit aims to enhance bilateral cooperation and discuss key agreements between the two nations.
Meanwhile, British Minister Hamish Faulkner also visited Pakistan this week, holding meetings with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and other prominent officials to discuss matters of mutual interest.
