Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Sra Rogha area of South Waziristan, successfully eliminating 13 terrorists linked to the Khawarij group. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), these militants were involved in attacks on security personnel and the killing of innocent civilians.
Following the operation, sanitization efforts are ongoing to ensure the area is free from terrorist threats. The ISPR reaffirmed the commitment of security forces to eradicate the menace of terrorism.
Earlier, on December 21, security forces thwarted an infiltration attempt by terrorists in the Rajgal area of Khyber along the Pak-Afghan border, killing four militants. The operation resulted in the martyrdom of 22-year-old soldier Aamir Sohail Afridi from Khyber.
The ISPR emphasized that Pakistan continues to call for effective border management with the Afghan interim government to prevent such infiltration attempts.
