(News Desk) Pakistan’s snooker star Mohammad Asif has once again made history by winning the World Snooker Championship title for the third time. According to Reports, Asif defeated Iran’s Ali Gharehgouzloo in the final, securing a 5-3 victory in frames.
Asif had previously reached the final after triumphing over Cyprus’ Michael Georgiou in the semifinals with a score of 5-3 in an intense match held in Qatar. His semifinal scores were 53-57, 5-71, 0-94, 6-111, 45-77, 9-73, 24-71, and 51-58, showcasing his skill and resilience.
Earlier in the quarterfinals, Asif outperformed UAE’s Mohammad Shehab with a decisive 4-1 win. This recent victory adds to Asif’s previous titles in 2012 and 2019, solidifying his reputation as one of Pakistan’s snooker greats.
