Security forces successfully conducted an operation in Tank district, neutralizing seven militants, including a high-value target, Ali Rehman, according to an official statement by the ISPR.
Key Militant Leader Neutralized
The operation was launched following credible intelligence about the presence of militants in the area. Ali Rehman, a key member of the militant council (Shura), was among those killed. Rehman, who joined the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in 2010, was a close associate of the notorious militant leader, Mullah Fazlullah.
Attempt to Evade Capture
According to security sources, Rehman attempted to escape by disguising himself in women’s clothing but was intercepted during the operation.
Hostage Situation Resolved
During the operation, one of the militants took two children hostage inside a house. Security forces acted swiftly to neutralize the threat and safely secured the situation.

The military spokesperson described the operation as a significant success in the ongoing fight against terrorism, emphasizing the determination of security forces to root out extremist elements from the region.
