The Sindh government has declared a public holiday across the province on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh government, December 27th, Friday, will be a public holiday in the province, with all government offices and institutions remaining closed. Various events will be organized by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) across Sindh, where central and provincial leaders will deliver speeches.
The events will honor the sacrifices made by Benazir Bhutto for democracy, the nation, and the people.
It is important to note that Benazir Bhutto was martyred on December 27th, 2007, after addressing a public rally at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi. She was shot while returning to Islamabad in her car following the speech.
