No Amendments to Madrasa Bill Acceptable, Government Must Decide Promptly: Hafiz Hamdullah

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader Hafiz Hamdullah has urged the government to make an immediate decision regarding the Madrasa Registration Bill. He stated that the government has already lost on this matter, and the Madrasa Registration Bill Act has been passed. It’s now time to issue the gazette notification.

In his statement, Hafiz Hamdullah emphasized that neither the Tanzeemat-e-Madaris nor JUI would accept any amendments to the bill. He stressed the need to uphold parliamentary supremacy and recognize the bill passed by Parliament as the law.

He further warned the government that the ball is in its court, and any delay might lead to complications.

The JUI leader also criticized linking parliamentary decisions to FATF. He demanded that the government reveal the truth if decisions in the assembly are being influenced by FATF rather than serving the interests of the people
