Former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad reportedly fled to Russia with a substantial amount of diamonds, gold, jewelry, and cash, according to Advocate Issa Ibrahim, a former constitutional adviser to the Syrian Negotiation Committee.
International news outlets revealed that Issa Ibrahim described Assad’s departure as a “flight,” accusing him of failing to transfer power to any local, revolutionary, or neutral authority.

Ibrahim alleged that Assad wanted to either destroy the nation’s infrastructure or set the country ablaze before relinquishing power
