Security Forces’ Operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, 43 Foreign Terrorists Killed

Security forces have killed 43 foreign terrorists during ongoing operations across various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan over the past five days.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an operation conducted in Lakki Marwat on the night of December 12-13, based on intelligence reports, resulted in the elimination of six foreign terrorists.

Since December 9, 2024, a total of 18 terrorists have been killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as reported by the ISPR.

In Balochistan, two separate operations on December 13 in Musakhel and Panjgur districts led to the death of 10 terrorists during intense firefights. Overall, 25 terrorists have been neutralized in Balochistan since December 9.

The ISPR stated that these operations will continue until peace is fully restored and the threat of foreign terrorists is eradicated.

The military reiterated its commitment to eliminating the menace of terrorism and ensuring national security. The operations have dealt a significant blow to the Khawarij elements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other terrorist groups active in Balochistan.

These actions come amid a rising wave of terrorism in Pakistan. According to the Islamabad-based think tank, Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS), 61 terrorist attacks were reported in November 2024, marking a 27% increase from the previous month.
