Security Forces Operation in Lakki Marwat: Five Terrorists Eliminated

In a successful operation in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces eliminated five terrorists and injured two others.

According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted following intelligence reports about the presence of militants in the area.

During the exchange of fire, security forces neutralized five terrorists, while two others were injured. A clearance operation is ongoing to ensure the area is completely secure.

The ISPR reaffirmed the armed forces’ commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country.

Recent Counterterrorism Successes

On December 1, security forces carried out successful operations in two different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing eight militants and injuring nine. The operations were marked by the bravery of the troops, with Captain Muhammad Zohaib Uddin and another soldier embracing martyrdom. Captain Zohaib’s funeral was held in Lahore and was attended by the Prime Minister and other dignitaries.

Three days earlier, security forces neutralized four militants and injured three during an operation in the Bagh area of Khyber district. On November 26, an infiltration attempt by militants from the Pak-Afghan border was thwarted, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists.

These operations highlight the dedication of Pakistan’s security forces to ensuring peace and stability in the region.
