Pakistan’s exports to seven regional countries recorded a 4.09% year-on-year increase during the first four months of the current fiscal year.
According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the export volume to China, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, and India reached $1.506 billion during this period, accounting for 14.33% of Pakistan’s total exports.
The total exports of the country during the same period stood at $10.50 billion. Among regional countries, China remained the largest importer, with exports worth $813.44 million. However, this marked a decline of 14.58% compared to $952.38 million during the same period last fiscal year.
Exports to Afghanistan rose to $291.77 million from $182.61 million last year.
Bangladesh showed significant growth of 28.60%, with export volume reaching $247.31 million compared to $192.31 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Exports to Sri Lanka totaled $148.93 million, while exports to Nepal and Maldives amounted to $1.38 million and $1.74 million, respectively
