Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) leader Hafiz Hamdullah has claimed that backdoor negotiations with the PTI founder are underway, but the latter is unwilling to leave the country.
In an interview, Hafiz Hamdullah stated that repeated contacts have been made with the PTI founder. However, the talks have stalled due to a demand for the PTI founder to apologize to the nation for the events of May 9, which he denies being involved in.
He added that the PTI founder is demanding new elections and has no intention of seeking exile.
Commenting on the political landscape, Hafiz Hamdullah remarked that major parties like PML-N and PPP are compelled to act against their own preferences. He questioned whether the current government truly belongs to PML-N or if it is reliant on PPP’s support.
He further criticized the legislative process, stating that laws are passed within 20 minutes under undue influence. “I do not accept this mandate,” he declared, suggesting that the real power lies elsewhere
