Decision made after India’s refusal to grant visas to the Pakistan team.India has been stripped of its hosting rights for the upcoming Women’s Blind Cricket World Cup following its denial to send its team for the ongoing Blind T20 World Cup in Pakistan.
The World Blind Cricket Council (WBCC) held a heated meeting in Multan, discussing India’s decision to refrain from participating in the Pakistan tournament. Consequently, the hosting rights for next year’s Women’s Blind Cricket World Cup, originally assigned to India, were revoked.
The WBCC emphasized during the meeting that India’s consistent refusal to grant visas to the Pakistan team, as seen during the 2022 Blind World Cup, prompted this decision.
It was also decided that due to political tensions, neither Pakistan nor India will be granted hosting rights for international blind cricket events. Instead, both nations will hold their matches at neutral venues.
Additionally, the WBCC re-elected Pakistan’s Syed Sultan Shah as its Chairman for the next three years during the meeting
