General Zhang Youxia, Vice Chairman of China’s Central Military Commission, held a one-on-one meeting with Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir during a high-profile visit to General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. The meeting was followed by delegation-level talks, focusing on mutual interests, regional security, and enhanced defense cooperation.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Chinese delegation paid tribute at the Martyrs’ Monument and received a guard of honor. General Zhang praised Pakistan’s role in fostering a strategic partnership and acknowledged the professionalism of its armed forces in counter-terrorism efforts.
General Asim Munir underscored the unwavering and time-tested friendship between Pakistan and China, emphasizing mutual trust and cooperation. He thanked Chinese leadership for its consistent support and highlighted the historic strength of bilateral ties.
