Dry and Cold Weather Likely Across Most Parts of the Country

Dry and cold conditions are expected to prevail in most parts of the country, with scattered rain and snowfall anticipated in select regions. According to the Meteorological Department, areas including Gilgit-Baltistan, northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Islamabad, and Pothohar will experience partly cloudy skies. Some places in these regions may witness light rain accompanied by thunderstorms.

In Islamabad and surrounding areas, the weather is predicted to remain partly cloudy, with a chance of brief showers. Meanwhile, dense fog and smog are expected to dominate the plains of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning and night hours, impacting visibility.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, districts such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, and Mansehra may see rain with thunder and snowfall over the mountains. However, dry and cold weather will dominate the rest of the province.

Northern Punjab, including Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and Rawalpindi, along with areas like Murree and Galiyat, may experience scattered light rain or drizzle.

Balochistan will witness dry weather in most areas, but its mountainous regions are expected to remain cold, particularly during nighttime and early morning hours.

In Sindh, smog and light fog are anticipated in cities like Sukkur, Kashmore, and Jacobabad.

As for Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, the weather is predicted to be cold and overcast, with a possibility of light rain and snowfall over the higher altitudes, further intensifying the chill.

These weather conditions are expected to bring challenges for commuters and residents in affected areas, particularly in regions experiencing fog, smog, and reduced temperatures.
