Sialkot – Defense Minister Criticizes PTI’s Protest Plans
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has strongly condemned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned protest in Islamabad on November 24, 2024, asserting that the party is destined to fail.
Speaking to the media, Khawaja Asif accused PTI of having a track record of unsuccessful protests. “They’ve attempted this twice before, and each time, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur abandoned the workers and fled the scene,” he remarked.
Asif also took aim at PTI’s leadership, calling them “frauds” who deceive their followers. “If PTI’s leaders are serious about their ‘do or die’ narrative, they should bring their own children to lead the protest,” he said.
He specifically challenged the PTI chairman to involve his children and wife, Bushra Bibi, in the demonstrations. “They exploit the children of others while their own live in luxury,” Asif claimed.
Drawing a comparison, the minister highlighted the sacrifices made by the families of Nawaz Sharif and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto during their political trials. “PTI leaders are no exception; they too will face accountability,” Asif concluded.
