Islamabad (Crime Reporter) Senior PTI leader Azam Swati was re-arrested by Taxila police immediately after his release from the District Jail Attock. Swati, a former senator, was detained as soon as he stepped out of jail, with police transferring him to an undisclosed location.
The Anti-Terrorism Court judge, Abu Al-Hasnat Zulqarnain, had earlier granted bail in eight cases related to alleged financial support for a D-Chowk protest. Following the release order, Islamabad High Court held a hearing on Swati’s extended physical remand, with Justices Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb and Arbab Muhammad Tahir presiding. An inquiry report was also presented, confirming that notices had been issued.
