US Sanctions Unjustified, Will Not Impact Pakistan’s Defense Decisions: Foreign Office

The spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, stated that US sanctions will have no impact on Pakistan’s defense or its decisions.

She emphasized that Pakistan’s security policies are determined solely by the nation itself, and external pressure will not be entertained. The spokesperson described the US restrictions on Pakistan’s missile program as unnecessary and unfair, asserting that such actions cannot weaken Pakistan’s defensive capabilities.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch noted that Pakistan has successfully faced various sanctions in the past while keeping its focus on national security. She affirmed that this approach will remain steadfast in the future as well. She also clarified that Pakistan’s missile program poses no threat to the US.

Commenting on regional dynamics, the spokesperson highlighted that the race for nuclear arms and missile systems in South Asia was initiated by India, which has jeopardized the region’s stability. She urged major powers to take action against India’s provocations.

Addressing the European Union’s concerns over military courts, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch reiterated that Pakistan has the capability to resolve its internal matters under its constitution and judiciary without external interference.
