Elon Musk, the world’s richest individual, has set a historic milestone. According to Bloomberg, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO has become the first person to amass a fortune of over $400 billion.
On December 11, the valuation of SpaceX soared to $350 billion, and Tesla shares experienced a significant boost. As a result, Musk’s wealth increased by $62.8 billion, bringing his total fortune to $447 billion.
This makes him $198 billion richer than Jeff Bezos, the second wealthiest individual with a net worth of $249 billion.
Tesla, SpaceX, and AI Driving Growth
Musk’s Tesla shares, which account for 68% of his total net worth, have surged by 65% since the U.S. presidential election. Additionally, his AI company, “xAI,” saw its valuation double in November 2024.
Musk’s wealth has grown by a record $218 billion in 2024 alone, cementing his status as a financial juggernaut.
The Race to Become the First Trillionaire
