In a significant development, the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has reversed the proposed restriction on bringing more than one from abroad.
Previously, a notification had been issued by the FBR limiting travelers to bring only one mobile phone for personal use under revised baggage rules. The Chairman has now instructed the withdrawal of this restriction and maintained the allowance for two mobile phones per traveler. Additionally, the proposed ban on commercial items worth over $1200 has also been deferred, with further consultation required before reintroducing such changes.
