Pakistan Crowned Champion of Blind T20 World Cup After Defeating Bangladesh

Pakistan clinched its first-ever Blind T20 World Cup title by defeating Bangladesh in the final of the fourth edition of the tournament.

The final, held in Multan, saw Bangladesh batting first and scoring 139 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, setting a target of 140 runs for Pakistan.

Pakistan’s blind cricket team chased down the target with ease, reaching 140 runs in just 10.2 overs without losing a wicket. Openers Muhammad Safdar and Nisar Ali played unbeaten innings to secure the victory for the team.

For Bangladesh, Arif Hussain top-scored with 54 runs, followed by MD Salman with 31 and Ashiqur Rahman with 22. The remaining batters failed to reach double figures. Pakistan’s bowlers, led by Babar Ali with 2 wickets, supported by Muhammad Salman and Matiullah with one wicket each, played a crucial role in restricting the opposition.

In the semi-finals, Pakistan outclassed Nepal with a 10-wicket win, while Bangladesh overcame Sri Lanka by 6 runs to secure their place in the final.

This historic win marks Pakistan’s first Blind T20 World Cup title. The national team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, while the previous three editions of the T20 World Cup were won by India.
