Federal Government Establishes Raddul Fassad Force to Secure Islamabad

The federal government has announced the formation of the Raddul Fassad Force to safeguard Islamabad against potential extremist attacks. This decision was made during a high-level meeting on law and order chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. It was also resolved that strict legal action would be taken against individuals involved in recent protests and riots in the federal capital.

Formation of the Raddul Fassad Force

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the newly established force will be equipped with state-of-the-art resources and trained to meet international standards. Furthermore, the government has approved the establishment of a modern forensic laboratory to enhance investigative efforts through advanced technology.

Task Force Initiatives

A task force led by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has been created to identify and prosecute individuals involved in the November 24 incidents. The task force includes federal ministers, legal experts, and representatives from security agencies to ensure effective legal proceedings.

Prime Minister’s Criticism of PTI

During the meeting, the Prime Minister strongly criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), referring to it as a “group of agitators” aiming to create unrest in the country. He stated that the recent protests in Islamabad resulted in daily economic losses of 900 billion rupees, further straining the nation’s already fragile economy.

Background of Protests

On November 24, PTI organized a march from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Islamabad, demanding the release of its chairman and other political objectives. The march was led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Bushra Bibi. However, on November 26, clashes between protestors and law enforcement resulted in several injuries, forcing the demonstrators to disperse.

Government’s Response

The Prime Minister instructed authorities to take stringent measures to prevent future damages during protests. The Safe City Project in Islamabad will be modernized, and additional resources will be allocated to strengthen the Federal Prosecution Service.

These initiatives aim to enhance the security framework of the federal capital and reduce the impact of future demonstrations.
