KPK Declares Three Days of Mourning

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a three-day mourning period (November 25–27) following the violence against peaceful protestors on November 24.

Law Minister Aftab Alam Afridi condemned the attacks, including an alleged assassination attempt on Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, and criticized the mistreatment of protestors. Speaker Babar Saleem Swati emphasized the constitutional right to protest, calling for accountability for those involved in the unrest.

The government has resolved to visit affected families and extend support during the mourning period.
