A tragic incident occurred in the town of Faridpur in Uttar Pradesh, India, when a car traveling along a route recommended by Google Maps crashed into a river after falling from an under-construction bridge.
The vehicle was attempting to cross the bridge when the structure, missing its front part due to flooding earlier this year, caused the car to plummet 50 feet into the river below. Two brothers, Amit and Vivek Kumar, were killed along with a third unidentified passenger. Police are investigating the incident, which highlights the risks of outdated information on digital maps.
