The Balochistan government has enforced Section 144 across the province, citing security concerns. According to a notification issued by the provincial home department, carrying weapons and public gatherings of more than five people have been strictly prohibited.
The notification emphasizes that during the implementation of Section 144, all unauthorized assemblies and the display of weapons will be subject to strict action.
This comes as protests in Quetta’s Serena Chowk continue for the ninth consecutive day, demanding the recovery of a missing student, Muhammad Masoor. Additionally, the All Parties Conference has announced a province-wide strike on November 25.
Similarly, Punjab had also implemented Section 144 for three days earlier this week, restricting all forms of public gatherings, protests, rallies, and other political activities in the province to maintain law and order.
