The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the introduction of the Fans’ Choice Awards ahead of the 10th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Fan Involvement:
According to PCB, fans will vote to select the top-performing players from previous PSL editions.
Categories:
The Fans’ Choice Awards will feature six categories:
- Best Batter
- Best Bowler
- Best All-Rounder
- Most Valuable Player
- Best Individual Bowling Performance
- Best Individual Batting Performance
Award Announcement:
The winners will be revealed during the PSL draft ceremony, scheduled to take place in Gwadar on January 11, 2025.
CEO’s Statement:
HBL PSL CEO Salman Naseer said that the league’s success wouldn’t have been possible without fans’ support. He added, “The Fans’ Choice Awards are our way of appreciating their passion and providing them with a platform to celebrate their favorite players and moments.”
Past Champions:
Since 2016, Islamabad United has won the PSL title three times. Other champions include Lahore Qalandars (twice), Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings, and Multan Sultans, who have each secured the title once.
