Passing and Grace Marks Increased for Board Exams

Educational boards across Pakistan have decided to increase passing and grace marks following an Inter-Board Coordination Commission (IBCC) meeting.

Passing marks will now rise from 33 to 40, while grace marks will increase from 3 to 5. Students scoring 35 marks will now be eligible for 5 grace marks instead of the previous 3. However, students failing in more than two subjects will not receive grace marks. These changes will take effect starting with the 2025 exams.
