(Web Desk) Victoria Kjær Theilvig, a 21-year-old from Denmark, has been crowned Miss Universe 2024, making history as the first Danish contestant to win the prestigious title. The grand finale was held on Saturday night in Mexico City, marking the culmination of a week-long event that began on Thursday.
Out of 120 contestants from across the globe, 30 were shortlisted for the final rounds. Victoria emerged victorious among the top five finalists. Nigeria’s Chidimma Edetashina secured second place, Mexico’s Maria Fernanda came in third, and Thailand’s Suchata Chuangsri ranked fourth.

This year marked a turning point in Miss Universe’s 72-year history, as contestants above the age of 28 were allowed to participate for the first time. Additionally, the competition lifted previous restrictions on pregnant women, mothers, and married contestants, making the pageant more inclusive.
Notably, countries like Belarus, Eritrea, and the United Arab Emirates made their debut in the Miss Universe competition this year, further adding to its global appeal.
