London: Former Prime Minister and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif criticized the call for a nationwide protest on November 24, labeling it as an attempt to destabilize Pakistan.
Speaking to the media before departing from London with his daughter, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Nawaz said, “Those spreading false propaganda will be called out for their lies. This protest call is a bid to derail the country and will not succeed, God willing.”
Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz had been in London for the past few days, with a brief stay in Switzerland.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a march towards Islamabad on November 24. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stated that they would not return until their demands are met, adding that this time they will march with “shrouds on their heads.”
