Riyadh—After the Arab Islamic Summit held in Saudi Arabia’s capital, diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran are on the rise. Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between the two nations, highlighting their significance for both regional stability and mutual prosperity.
Reza Aref expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s condemnation of an Israeli attack on Iran, adding that fostering closer relations would also bolster regional cooperation. During the summit, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with Aref, where discussions centered on Saudi Arabia’s stance on the Palestinian issue. The summit’s closing statement condemned Israeli actions against Palestinians and demanded an end to ongoing hostilities in Gaza and Lebanon.
