Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has honored Pakistan’s spinner Nauman Ali as the Player of the Month for October, recognizing his stellar performances.
Nauman played a pivotal role in Pakistan’s recent Test series victory over England, claiming an impressive total of 20 wickets at an average of 13.85. His remarkable bowling was instrumental in securing Pakistan’s success in the series.
This award comes after Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, previously won the same accolade in August 2023. Nauman was chosen over other strong contenders, including South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner, who were also nominated by the ICC for October’s Player of the Month.
Expressing his gratitude, Nauman Ali stated that the award was a tremendous honor and thanked his teammates for their constant support, which he credited as a crucial part of his standout performance.
