Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) reached a new milestone by surpassing the 94,000-point mark for the first time ever at the close of the trading day. During trading, the KSE-100 index hit a record high of 94,020 points before closing with an increase of 356 points at 93,648.
According to details, a total of 453 companies’ shares were traded, with 226 witnessing a price increase and 184 seeing a decline. Over 756 million shares were traded in the market, with the total value of transactions reaching approximately PKR 26.35 billion. The market’s highest point for the day was 94,020 points, while the lowest reached was 93,318 points.
This new peak reflects a growing investor confidence and is seen as a positive sign for the country’s economic outlook.
