Karachi: The Pakistani rupee continued to lose ground against the US dollar for the third consecutive day in the interbank market. According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the dollar closed at PKR 279.67.
On February 24, the greenback recorded a 0.03% increase, settling at PKR 279.66. Earlier, on February 21, the last trading session of the previous week, the dollar had gained 0.04%, reaching PKR 279.46.
Experts suggest that ongoing pressure from foreign exchange reserves, import payments, and economic uncertainties may keep the rupee under stress in the coming days
