Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has arrived in the United Kingdom on an official visit, where he was warmly received and presented with a guard of honor at the historic Royal Horse Guards Parade Ground.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Munir will attend the 7th Regional Stability Conference at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where he will deliver a keynote address on “The Emerging World Order and Pakistan’s Future Outlook.” This annual conference serves as a key platform for military dialogue between Pakistan and the UK, bringing together policymakers, senior military officials, and leading think tanks from both nations.
During his visit, General Munir will hold high-level discussions with key British civil and military leaders, including Chief of Defence Staff Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, Chief of the General Staff of the British Army General Sir Roland Walker, UK National Security Adviser Jonathan Nicholas Powell, and Home Secretary Mrs. Yvette Cooper.
Pakistan and the UK share longstanding diplomatic, economic, and security ties, with their armed forces actively cooperating in counterterrorism and professional training. The Army Chief will also visit key British military units, including the Land Warfare Centre and the 1st Strike Brigade, where he will receive briefings on modernization initiatives and operational strategies of the British Army.
