Tremors from an earthquake were felt in Islamabad and its surrounding regions, causing panic among residents.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake registered a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 17 kilometers. The epicenter was located 8 kilometers southeast of Rawalpindi.
The tremors were also felt in several areas of Azad Kashmir, including Samahni, Bhimber, Baloch, and Dhirkot, as well as in Murree and its surroundings.
No reports of casualties or property damage have been received so far.
