Ceasefire Agreement Finalized Between Israel and Hamas

According to American media, a historic ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement has been reached between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. The truce is set to begin next Sunday and will last for six weeks.

As per reports, Israeli forces will withdraw 700 meters from Gaza’s borders, and Israel will release 2,000 Palestinian prisoners, including 250 serving life sentences. Similarly, Hamas will free 33 Israeli hostages, starting with those under 19 years of age in the first phase.

The agreement includes a clause for improving the conditions of Palestinian prisoners, with guarantees from Qatar, Egypt, and the U.S. that Israel will not resume hostilities.

Arab media reports indicate that Israel will release 30 Palestinian prisoners for every Israeli hostage and 50 for each female captive. Under the deal, Israeli forces will withdraw completely from Rafah border and other areas, and 600 aid trucks will be allowed daily into Gaza.

This agreement, brokered by Qatar and Egypt after months of negotiations, is seen as a significant step towards peace in the region. It was finalized shortly before the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on January 20
