Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has announced a resolute and powerful response to any attempt to disrupt peace in the country. He stated that there is no place for terrorists on Pakistan’s soil and that enemy elements will be dealt with firmly and decisively.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief visited Peshawar, where he was briefed on the current security situation and ongoing counter-terrorism operations. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were also present at the briefing.
General Asim Munir lauded the unwavering commitment and sacrifices of the security forces and stated that these forces play a vital role in dismantling terrorist networks and thwarting their nefarious agendas.
He further added that the armed forces have ensured the elimination of terrorist leaders and their infrastructure. He emphasized that the fight against terrorism will continue until its logical conclusion.
The Army Chief praised the courage and professionalism of the security personnel, highlighting that every operation is a testament to their dedication and resolve.
During discussions with political leaders, he stressed the need for a unified public and political front against terrorism. He affirmed that the nation and armed forces enjoy full support in this critical struggle.
