Karachi Faces Many Challenges, but We Have Solved Several, Says Sindh Chief Minister

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Highway Rescue Operations of Sindh Emergency Service Rescue 1122, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah stated that Karachi faces numerous challenges, but significant progress has been made in resolving them.

He added that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has instructed the initiation of water supply and drainage projects across Sindh. “Today marks a significant milestone in our struggle as we strive to make Sindh safer, prosperous, and more developed. Rescue 1122 is a remarkable step in providing world-class emergency services,” he remarked.

Murad Ali Shah mentioned that the state-of-the-art Central Command and Control Center for Rescue 1122 was inaugurated in Karachi in 2022. Now, satellite stations are being launched to serve not only major highways and motorways but also nearby communities.

The project, initially launched with the support of the World Bank, is now fully managed by the Sindh government’s Rehabilitation Department. The CM emphasized that Rescue 1122 workers are professionally trained at international-level academies to deliver high-quality services to the public.

He concluded that the combination of modern equipment and professional training in Rescue 1122 will undoubtedly save precious lives and provide timely assistance to those in need.
